Is it possible using NTFS permissions to stop a folder and its contents from being deleted, from someone who would have change permissions. For example i have D:/share (folder id shared and had authenticated users set to : full control ) inside this folder i create marketing folder, IT_dep folder ...... and then i remove all inherit permissions from this folder leaving only administrator to Full. After i add permission to user group : IT (From active directory) on folder IT_dep where this group has permission to Full control on Subfolder and files but has List permission on this folder only. but when i push to delete folder it_dep it says cannot delete write protected and its good, but it deletes all content inside !!! and if i set permission to it_det deny delete this folder only it wont let me to create files inside... Please any help regarding this problem ? |
