The problem is, Microsoft think they are strong enough to intergrade the biometrics into the system and provide the software, but they fail that idea due to the bounded software keep crashing. The driver comes with the windows 7 and it's Windows Update is designed for the program that integrated in the Windows 7.
Okay, I guess it's just a explain. But the biggest part is, Windows 7 do not like user to "update" the driver to a older version, and refuse to install the user determined driver. Even when you are forcing it to, it will tell you that the driver it has is newer and don't want to update. (thinking it's a intelligence? sometimes maybe, but still screw you, Microsoft)
So the only way to roll back the driver is uninstall the newer driver completely. (There's a check mark for uninstall the program comes with the driver, check this.) Then restart. If you have the driver from HP installed, it should be installed automatically. Otherwise, install it. |
