4240 Engine
McAfee has now released the 4240 AV scanning engine for Windows. This engine contains many improvements in detection and repair capabilities over the previous 4160 version, and has been made available as an engine-only SuperDAT. Please note that if you have previously installed the 4240 release candidate engine into your McAfee AV product, it will be necessary to run the SuperDAT in "force upgrade" mode (i.e. with the /f switch). More details about running SuperDATs with the /f switch can be found in any SuperDAT README. In response to customer feedback, requesting a period between the new engine release and its inclusion in the weekly SuperDAT (to allow for internal acceptance testing to be undertaken), the 4240 engine is scheduled to be incorporated into the weekly engine+DAT SuperDAT update on March 26th, 2003. However, in order to ensure the highest anti-virus protection on your systems, McAfee advises that you upgrade to the 4240 engine immediately. Note that if customers wish to retain full control of engine upgrades whilst still updating their DATs on a weekly basis, they may make use of the weekly "XDAT" packages, which provide the same functionality as the full SuperDAT, but exclude engine files. The current XDAT package is available from FTP and HTTP. The 4160 engine will end-of-life on 31st August 2003.

Всё понятно. Блин, только сейчас когда постил, всё до конца дочитал  Короче, включат scan engine 4240 в еженедельный апдейт только 26-го марта. Но рекомендуют обновиться уже сейчас.
